Narrator (live): Good morning; welcome to Eyewitness news. We are bringing the the third installment of the latest developments surrounding the incredible story of Jesus of Nazareth, a carpenter-turnedrabbi that has shaken this small, middle-eastern country. (fade out audio now... when audio is gone, advance to slide #3 - it looks just like #2, and you won’t see any change) Today, our lead reporter will interview several people that claim to have had personal experiences with the amazing Jesus of Nazareth...

Light center stage quickly; turn on chair lights...

Interviewer: (seated on stage) Good morning. Over the last two weeks, I have interviewed two key associates of Jesus - Matthew, also known as Levi, and Simon Peter. Both are unique individuals that gave us a highly personal perspective on Jesus of Nazareth. The one person I wanted to bring to you today was Jesus himself, but due to time constraints, he was unable to appear...However, due to the rapidly spreading report of his resurrection, many people have become followers of this compelling man and his message. Over the last several days, I have spent some time talking to people who claim to follow him, asking each of them 4 central questions about their involvement with Jesus of Nazareth...

First, I have an email from a follower of Jesus...fade center stage lights to half; run 5 MM slides (4 email text slides, 5th is eyewitness logo) fade center stage lights up... In this email, the emotion of a lifetime experience comes through clearly...this is a person whose life has been remarkably changed by involvement with Jesus of Nazareth... Next, we have an “on-location” interview with another reported follower of Jesus...let’s see that now... (lower stage lights; run video clip...then switch back to computer and eyewitness logo fade center stage lights up..)

Over 500 eyewitnesses to the so-called “miracle” of Jesus’ resurrection, his return from the dead!! Even as a reporter, I have to say that this kind of evidence is compelling...let’s break from our regular format, and go out into our live audience, and speak to some of the people here... (interviewer leaves stage with handheld wireless in hand) (fade house lights up... turn on handheld wireless) (interviewer moves to audience, asking several people their names and if they are “followers of Jesus”...finally stops at a person [Toora] that will answer all four questions) Interviewer: What is your name, ma’am?....(Toora answers)...Are you a follower of Jesus? (yes)...You’ve heard the questions that were put to these others I interviewed; are you willing to answer these same questions for all of us here? (yes)

1. What caused you to follow him?
2. There are reports that Jesus of Nazareth actually returned from the dead? Do you believe these reports and why?
3. What would you say to someone that says that these reports are false? Isn’t it amazing? There are followers of Jesus of Nazareth everywhere! I have a final email response I want to share with you before our time gone...can you run that email response for me now? (fade out house lights; fade center stage lights to half; run 5 MM slides) (4 are email text slides, 5th is eyewitness logo) (fade center stage lights up...turn on chair lights Interviewer: (seated on stage) Having heard these testimonials” by a number of people, and talking to Matthew and Simon Peter, I have to admit that I have been struck by the honesty and sincerity of these individuals. Over my career as reporter, I have witnessed catastrophes, celebrations, wars, rescues, political turmoil and domestic violence, practically the entire range of human experience. As a reporter, I have had to harden myself to anything I might see or hear, in order to bring “the truth” to you. But in doing this series of reports, I have been changed - whereas I have always been a skeptic of religion, I am now compelled to believe the stories about Jesus, and the truth to which these stories point...that Jesus of Nazareth is indeed God. My hope is that you who are viewers of Eyewitness News have seen the same compelling story that I have...
