I see many people experiencing the Gospel in a way they can understand...

CrossWind will be culturally relevant, making the Gospel accessible to the people of Western Hampton Roads.
Worship will include drama, video and other visual media! We use "our" music; if you like what you hear on the radio, you'll like what you hear in worship.
The atmosphere will be causal, so you and your family can dress any way you feel comfortable.
Messageswill be practical, ie., you'll see how God can help you and your family.

I see people helping people...

Much of the effort of the church will be used in connecting with persons outside the life the church and ushering them into the life together God has given to us.

I see people using their gifts and talents in God's service...

The church will work to discover and employ the spiritual gifts all followers of Christ have.

I see a community that ministers with and through individuals and families...

The greater Tidewater community is composed of families and single adults, and God's goal is that we all receive and give service and ministry that uniquely fits our life situations.

I see a committed group of Christians working together to reach the common goal...

The church is founded on the sacrificial lifestyles of many people who trust God.

I see a church that knows and lives the teachings of Christ and others as found in the Bible...

The Bible contains the unique message of God's love and plan for people.

I see people who value historic christian distinctives...

There is a rich history of hard-won rights and values that CrossWind is committed to remembering and bringing into today's marketplace.

I see a church that loves people enough to serve them and try to meet their needs...

CrossWind will respond to the needs of the whole person:  physical, emotional, social, and spiritual.

I see a church that is involved in missionary action...

From small acts of kindness to sending mission teams and supporting world-wide missionaries, CrossWind is committed to giving out what it has received.
We will:
Help finance missions through the Baptist General Association of Virginia and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
Lead in starting new churches.
Send our own as missionaries and ministers.
